Sound Bytes

I was trolling through Amazon when I stumbled upon Tea For Three in audio! What a kick in the pants! Right? I'm also pleased with the five 5-star reviews it has received to date. I know I shouldn't make a big deal out of reviews but I've always said that receiving praise or knowing someone enjoys my writing is worth more than money and it's true for me. Don't get me wrong - I would love to earn my living strictly through writing but that doesn't happen for everyone.

Another thing I wanted to share today is this infographic from Grammarly. If you don't know who they are, the best way to describe them is "grammar checker". For a subscription fee, you can use their service to grammar check your manuscript prior to submitting for publication. Personally, I could use something like this to help point out my grammar stumbling blocks. I may invest when I am closer to submitting my current WiP. Recently I learned I have a blind spot when it comes to misplaced modifiers. No idea how to address those buggers. Don't even get me started on repeating words...

Anyway here is the infographic - Do Women Write Better Than Men. This was a poll conducted by Grammarly and featured in The Daily Beast here. I found it interesting. It's a long graphic, I know, but scroll through it and then check out that post at The Daily Beast.

Grammarly also has a blog and if you're a writer, they have wonderful posts about the art of writing.
